Gospel According To The Wiz: "He Lives!"
Dorothy Ann, a twenty-four-year-old, born and raised in Harlem, is just getting home from thanksgiving service and is preparing for Thanksgiving Dinner with her family. She doesn't seem to be thankful for much in life, neither have much of a strong spiritual relationship with God. She has lived a sheltered life; she is shy and unfulfilled. Things change for her when she is caught in a tornado while chasing after her dog, Toto. She is transported to the mysterious Land of Oz, where she is informed that she is a long way from home. And the only way to get home is through the assistance of the powerful man in Emerald City, who is called “The Wiz”. As she goes searching for him, she befriends some God-sent creatures who are facing problems and voids in life just as she is. In her quest, she takes them along in search of the powerful one to get their needs met. On this journey to find the Wiz, they face demonic-forces and worldly situations. However, witchcraft is their biggest conquer. The wicked witch of the West, who is the sister of whom Dorothy Ann inadvertently killed upon her arrival in Oz, may be their biggest obstacle in achieving and reaching their spiritual goals. The Wiz is found but they meet the one that Lives.
